50 Kisses
50 Kisses is the world's first crowdsourced feature film and a Guinness World Record Breaker for most amount of writers on a feature film. Alongside Chris Jones and Judy Goldberg from the London Screenwriters Festival, I had the privilage of producing this wonderful film.
An initiative from the London Screenwriters Festival to encourage both writers and filmmakers to take action and get something made, 50 Kisses has become a truly global project. Films, and scripts, have been submitted as far away as Japan, The US, the Philippines, Turkey and Canada.
We solicited two page scripts set on Valentine's Day and featuring a kiss from Writers around the world. From the over 1870 entries, we narrowed the selection down to 50 scripts. These scripts were then given to the worldwide filmmaking community to make. 3 months later we received over 130 various versions of the films.
50 Kisses premiered in London on 13th Feb 2014 and is showing at festivals around the world. We do have plans to make it available online too and get another Create 50 project up and running before long - watch this space.
